From Empty Grounds to Playgrounds: How Children's Parliament Transformed a School in Thenkuttaali

In the quiet village of Thenkuttaali, located in Dharmapuri district, children at the Government Middle School faced a challenge that many overlooked—they had no playground. Without a dedicated space for outdoor activities, their opportunities for physical exercise, sports, and recreational play were severely limited. However, the Children’s Parliament of the locality took notice of this issue and decided to take action.

During one of their regular meetings, the young parliamentarians discussed the impact of the missing playground on their well-being and overall development. Determined to bring about change, they approached the school’s headmaster with their concern. The headmaster, initially surprised by their proactive approach, recognized the importance of their request.
